Based closely on the BBC programme The Apprentice, this summer Congleton Borough will have its own version of the competition for 18 to 25 years olds - 'The Young Entrepreneur 2008' - but the difference is... nobody gets fired!
We are looking for individuals with an interest and flair for business - you don't have to have a glittering academic background but you do have to be prepared to test yourself and 'have a go'.
Over the last two weeks in August, ten finalists will be asked to work in teams to complete a number of tasks - carefully chosen to test core business skills: sales, marketing, design, teamwork, and negotiation. Filming will take place during the whole selection process and the team tasks at various locations within the Borough.
If successful you could win cash prizes of £2,500, £1,000 or £500!
But there are no losers - all participants will have the support of business mentors during the competition and applicants can have their details made available to potential employers in the Borough.
If you think you are the kind of person we are looking for then the process starts here - just fill in the application form. You just have to be from Congleton Borough and between 18 and 25 years old (see terms and conditions for full details).
But hurry the closing date for entries is the 28th July.
